Transitioning from commercial production to film production entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

Hey, everyone.

I’m trying to work out a strategy for a production company I’d like to start.

My ultimate goal is to produce feature films. But at the moment, the simplest and most effective way to generate income for me would be to make commercials for local businesses.

My plan right now is to eventually move away from commercials and focus solely on features. But I want to keep the same company name and branding.

Is it common for businesses to change what they do after several years of doing one thing?

Should I even bother with commercials or put all my energy into trying to scrape together money for a zero-budget feature?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
