Business has wikipedia-worthy longform content. How do I find out where it ranks? earn by blogging adsense income

My friend's business has been writing super long form content for years. Like wikipedia worthy. Problem is, I think those super long articles should actually be like 10 articles, each one ranking for a specific keyphrase. So how do I go about this? Do you break up an old article or do you move on and try to find new longtail keywords?
