I've been lurking for quite a few years but never really posted so sorry if this has been asked before. Like everyone, I'd love to develop some passive income and obviously gravitated towards affiliate marketing. I do have two questions, which I've been struggling to find answers to - would appreciate some input from you guys!
1) I'm in the UK. From a logical standpoint I think if I'm going to make an affiliate site I should target the US market, mainly due to the sheer size difference in the amount of traffic, is that right? On the other hand, I sort of feel like there's potentially more untapped niches in the UK which aren't being taken advantage of. Would I struggle to research products for the US if I'm based in the UK? I feel almost as if I should use a US VPN to research everything.
2) This question has probably been asked a million times but I'm just feeling hopeless. How ON EARTH do you guys find a niche to focus on? Literally everything I can think of has plenty of sites with reviews, best of and recommendations. I feel like I'm 5 years too late (which to be fair, is true) - is there some secret to finding these niches that aren't competitive yet? I literally feel completely unmotivated after spending 10s of hours trying to find something worth making a site for.
Thanks for your time - looking forward to hearing some of your opinions! :)
