EdTech is currently big, with technology companies partnering up with EdTech companies like Udacity or Coursera. All these companies usually offer video courses and usually have dropout rates of about 75% or higher. What if, instead of a unpersonalized video course, you could get a mentor who gives you personalized schedules, tasks and feedback?
My idea is to create a service, where you can browse mentors of different industries (Tech, Science, Marketing,..) and pay them a monthly fee to "mentor" you. The mentor then needs to give you weekly tasks to work on, gives you feedback on your progress and is also available for text or video chats. On the other side, as a experienced scientist or software engineer, you can get mentees and can earn extra cash, while bringing new talent to your industry (or even your own company).
I'm currently doing multiple surveys on this and thinking about building a simple MVP soon. What do you guys think about this?
