Working for Parents company, need advice bringing in sales entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

Hi There Reddit! I need your advice on trying to bring in new customers for a transport company here in South Africa.

Less than a month ago I started working for my parents who own a small logistics company (+- 10 Trucks). Looking through recent loads that have been done and expenses, we are barely making any profit. A suggestion of mine was hiring a sales rep to help bring in new work. What other methods do you suggest to bring in new work?

There are manufacturing companies but I don't have the knowledge on how to approach these companies? (Emailing or calling randomly doesn't seem business appropriate). I want to grow the business and make it successful (If I hope to take over one day).
