Just Starting A Business And Questioning Partner Decision entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

So about 2 months ago I was on student exchange in US. I met a person who we then became friends and we came across a party game. It was a new idea and we decided to team up and make it into a card party game.

Since then, I've gone home to my home country and we're both still interested in making the idea happen but...

I'm unsure about the financial split. See, he was insistent on doing a 50/50 split but I'm unsure about it. I've already launched 2 products so I know the work with marketing, advertising, shipping etc. whilst he has never done anything like this before and is just a design student.

He said he's willing to learn and take over half of the marketing jobs so we have an even split but I just don't believe thats a good idea. We haven't made THAT much progress but so far I've been doing about 80% of the work. Other issue is he is currently planning on doing other projects with a few others at the moment and thats giving me a big red flag in terms of committment.

My question is what would you recommend me to do? He doesn't seem to be keen in dropping the 50/50 split and I'm not keen on doing a 50/50 split. To be very honest, I'd rather do the project myself but since we both 'came up' with this idea, he wants to do it together. I just don't know about his skill and commitment to it.
