I am considering moving one of my sites over to a dedicated server.
Now, I am also looking to start up a network of websites at the same time. Most of these sites are going to point towards the main website as part of my 'funnel'. They will be quality websites in their own regard, but I am going to be looking to drive traffic towards the main site. That is my ultimate goal.
Just for what it is worth: my main website is a news website. Each of the sub-sites will be related to that niche. For example; if I have a 'Geek News' section on my website, sub sites will be related to geek culture. Not news-related, just informative articles. I have no issues producing quality content, so that is fine. I know how to drive traffic to these new websites.
HOWEVER,
I want to know whether I am going to get any 'link juice' from sites on the same server. The ultimate goal is to convert the 200 domains I have sitting around into these sub-sites by the end of the year, each with content being posted every other day, ramping up to once per day when some staff can be moved on over to them.
Will there be any SEO benefit to this? Or will it be tiny? Over time, the sites will eventually have hundreds of links all pointing back to my main website and the various news articles.
