Asset Management | Knowing where all your $h!t is entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

Okay the title might be going a bit far.. Well I got your attention didn't I?

I am building a web application that will allow you to login and add assets of any kind then track them with precision to know where they are physically and where in their life cycle they are. Getting an unexpected surprise of your some expensive tool you desperately need to have has failed and you need to buy it now but don't have the cash sucks and we never want to see someone in that position.

Okay, so I did a small (albet crappy) pitch. I'm still working on that part, haha You might say there are tons of these available but I have yet to find one that is cloud based and aimed at small and medium sized businesses. The options are endless if you want enterprise level but at the smaller basic level there is nothing I can find. I am sure something exists but the fact I could not find one easily means there is room for improvement. The enterprise solutions all look like they are 15 years old and are (almost) all locally hosted not in the cloud.

I have ran into a few roadblocks that I am hoping to get some help with.

1) I have no name for it yet

• I am looking for suggestions on it

• I am offering our platinum series plan (all features unlimited assets ect.) if I end up using your suggestion for the name

2) Feature list - So I have a decent feature list and hand drawings done up so far but I am looking to add features into the next version / update

3) What would be the best (non expensive) way to gain emails or users before I launch. I am not wanting to allow users to sign up to paid plans and was thinking maybe having them sign up to a free one with no features just as a way to get their credit card details (ie get them to be willing to pay). Thoughts?
