Considering payment integrations solutions. any recommendations? entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

Getting the site ready for another phase in it's launch which (hopefully) includes a large rise in the number of payment transactions going through. Currently this is a manual process using a mixture of invoice, paypal and BACS payments.

I need to integrate the receipt of payments through the site (then triggering further actions) and Make payments to individuals based on those transactions.

All of this within the UK, however international expansion is on the cards. I need to keep the development effort and upfront costs to a minimum as I'm still boostrapping this, but I'm not scared of a more structured manual process.

I'm currently looking at Paypal & Stripe but can anyone offer any other recommendations or reasosn not to use these two?
