I'm making a curation of helpful blog posts written by founders on their personal websites. Do you have any posts you'd like to add? entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

For a while now I've been keeping track of independent founders / indies and noticed that they have some great stuff on their personal blogs. I think blogs are often overlooked, especially since most posts you read are things you find featured on big publications on Medium or find on the front page on reddit or hacker news. People often get personal on their personal blogs, and it's nice watching their approaches and thought processes when working on new things.

Over the past couple of years of building stuff I kept track of some of the best posts I stumbled on, and I'm thinking of curating some of this stuff and sending it out to some close friends and anyone interested. Here's a couple of highlights:

Running A Software Business On 5 Hours A Week - A popular old timer in the indie space, Patrick McKenzie (aka patio11) has a huge archives of posts that chronicles his journey as he grew "Bingo Card Creator" back in 2006 and the work that went into it. He's since worked on other projects, and now is working at Stripe on Atlas. Apparently he was one of the early people the cofounders of Stripe contacted when they set out to build Stripe!

What I would do if I was 18 now - The creator of nomadlist and remoteok, Pieter Levels has some pretty strong (and maybe a little controversial) opinions, but the guy clearly knows what he's talking about. Other posts to check out are "Bootstrapping Side Projects into Profitable Startups" and "How I built Nomad Jobs".

How to make wealth - Whether you agree with Y Combinator's mission and the direction VC funding is taking or not, Paul Graham's website is a goldmine for anybody thinking of building anything of their own. His posts are long, and even though they're relatively old (some 20+ years old!), most of it still relevant. This particular post talks about how to approach thinking about money, especially when you're setting out to build something of your own.
