I've been at the beginning stage of a condiment company for a year now. I had a recipe for a sauce that was ready to go over a year ago. I formed an LLC. I have a logo. I have business cards. I don't have a product. And I don't have one because the copacker I chose had repeatedly told me this phrase: "We'll get a sample made this week and sent out to you." This will be the third sample they have made. I gave them a check in January to scale up a recipe that was already finished. Do any other sauce makers have problems with their copackers? Are my expectations that this should have been ready months ago too far from reality? I'm so frustrated and feel like a failure but I haven't even gone up to bat yet. I don't know how my product will fair because I can't get the damn thing made. Do I fire my copacker and try to recoup some of the money I gave them or is this a normal time frame that I need to just chill out about?
