Should I use a platform like Shopify and Woocommerce to build an website or should I build an custom website? My friend says I should build an custom website, because it is better for SEO.

From what I see from google searches, I think that I don't have some competition in my country. I think that like 2-3 website have good SEO in my categorie of business, and thats all. What should I do?
