My son loves the idea of starting a business. He dresses in suit jackets and ties everyday and dreams of working in a big office downtown. Quite literally dreams of it.
He started his own "Paper House" bus ness where he commissions artwork from family and friends, but that well has mostly dried up.
He would like to earn enough money from a business to take our family to Disney world.
Its great that he has a go getter attitude about life, I would love to support him in this in any way I can.
But, I don't want to just do the work for him and slap his name on it. The hardest part of starting a business is the hard work and dedication over time. If he could learn that (in a healthy way of course) at an early age, then hopefully it would carry with him as he gets older.
So my questions:
Has anyone tried something like this before with their child? How did they like it? How can I make sure I'm not pushing my 5 year old too hard?
What are some businesses besides the 'lemonade stand' type that could actually grow into a more consistent revenue stream?
Thank you!!
