Solar sales startup in California, feedback? entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

I know there are a lot of long threads of people trying to sell things. I'm not, so there is just this tl;dr...

I have an opportunity in Solar and was wondering if I should take it. I just want some advice from anyone who has experience in the industry whom I wouldn't be competing against. I'm doing it for a good cause, I want to re-invest the profits in employing people in an area that is struggling with unemployment.
