Starting a t-shirt business with $550 in startup capital. What do I prioritize? entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

Hey everyone. I know, "Don't start a t-shirt business". Luckily I have found an underserved niche, with an affluent market (one that I am part of, which is how I know it exists). I have an artist on board who can do designs and is offering the use of her current design catalog royalty free because she believes in the cause the niche serves. She also thinks that once word spreads, it is likely we will get crowdsourced designs, especially if we offer a bounty.

I can subcontract still more designs.

I have put together a loose business plan. Starting with Amazon and Etsy, moving to Shopify. Growing beyond that, form a partnership with a local print shop. A local co-working space can provide warehousing if we didn't leverage a fulfillment partner.

I want to reserve 20% of startup capital for marketing.

Printaura seems to be the best option for print on demand until I have a better feel for what does/doesn't sell. I will most likely be selling at a $20 price point (comparable to mass market items in this niche), with the printed items costing 12-15 each.

I want to start an LLC to limit my liability.

I need a logo designed.

I need bookkeeping software.

With a startup amount of 550, I need to prioritize. This is my first time attempting something like this, so I would really appreciate help or advice from more experienced folks. What is a "must have"? What is a nice to have?
