I'm about to launch a subscription site that will have tons of information that helps DFS (daily fantasy sports) players. Some will be free, some will require a weekly subscription to gain access.
My question: Which is a better marketing route to start with? Free trial or discount code?
My original idea was to have a discount code that took like 50% of the normal weekly subscription price and run that for maybe the first few weeks in attempt to get an initial customer base. But now I've been thinking it may be better to just give a free trial instead because people can get in the door for free and maybe that would help the initial customer base.
What are your thoughts and which route would you recommend? TIA
