How To Prevent Your Facebook Ads Account From Getting Banned / Disabled entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

If you would like a more in depth explanation or if you just prefer watching videos over reading click here to watch the video I made covering this topic.

Let me start off by saying I am not going to cover every single thing that can get your Facebook ad account banned, I will be covering the 4 most common things I see done wrong, and get asked about the most.

Number One - Don't Direct Link To An Affiliate Offer

  • I thought this was well known, but I am always getting questions about it. You can NOT direct link to your affiliate offer from a Facebook ad! You have to send people to some sort of landing page before you send anyone to your affiliate offer. Facebook scans your ad, as well as the page that your ad leads to, if the link on your ad goes straight to an affiliate website/offer your facebook ad account will go straight to the graveyard. It is really simple to create your own landing page using clickfunnels or builderall so there is no reason for you to skip this step!

Number Two - Put Disclaimer At The Bottom Of Your Landing Page

  • As I said before facebook scans your ad and your landing page, when they do this they are looking for a lot of things, but the one of the things that constantly gets forgotten is that you have to put this at the bottom of your landing page: THIS SITE IS NOT A PART OF THE FACEBOOK WEBSITE OR FACEBOOK INC. ADDITIONALLY, THIS SITE IS NOT ENDORSED BY FACEBOOK IN ANY WAY. FACEBOOK IS A TRADEMARK OF FACEBOOK, INC. You need to include this a well as hyper links to the facebook ad privacy policy and terms of service at the bottom of all of your landing pages. I think on occasion facebook lets you get away with not doing this, but I wouldn't test them. It is a good safety precaution to take to stop your ad account from getting blocked.

Avoid Before & After Pictures/Claims

  • Including before and after photos is on of the fastest ways to get your ad account banned! You should avoid them at all costs. Facebook hates these so much that they have their own section in their ad policy. The before and after goes for weight loss, making money products, hair growth etc. Again you may be able to find a few exceptions to this rule but good luck. Some other things that Facebook hates includes ads on: alcohol, dating, gambling, supplements, and financial services. Tread carefully if you are trying to do anything in these areas.

Number Four - Don't Cover A Photo With More Than 20% Text

  • This is probably the least well known of the four things I mention in the post, and therefore it is the most common one that gets people in trouble. Memes tend to get lots of reactions and help sell products, but if your meme is covered with more that 20% text it will get taken down and your account could get blocked. This rule doesn't just apply to memes but that is the most common way that I see people breaking this rule.

The Facebook algorithm is very smart so don't try to trick it, make sure you aren't breaking these four common rules. As I said before these are just the common things I see people doing wrong and get asked about, make sure to view the Facebook ad policy on your own to make sure you aren't breaking any of their other rules. If you want to find the Facebook ad policy just google "Facebook ad policy". There is no excuse to not do this, and if you don't you are probably going to get banned pretty quickly.

I hope this helps you all avoid your Facebook ads account from getting banned, thanks for reading to the end!
