Post Vs Static page earn by blogging adsense income

Hey Guys,

From an SEO perspective, would there be any difference in having content shown as a blog post or as a static page.

As a real world example, if I wanted to make a guide to denim washes on my site, would it matter to google if it were a stand alone page or if it were under the blogs section of the website? Would they discriminate between either style of page? Or would it make no difference to Google how this is structured or what page style the backlinks going to it point to?
