Question Regarding SEO Redirects earn by blogging adsense income

Say I have two websites. Website A is old and has lots of backlinks on high authority websites.

Website B is new and has no backlinks.

Is there a way to make all of Website A's backlinks act as backlinks for Website B? Does a simple redirect do this?
