Hello --
I have a pretty dead blog that I'm bringing back to life. Even after it was abandoned, I was still receiving a modest amount of traffic. And by modest, I mean... really modest. Like around 5,000 hits a month. It slowly decayed to around 4,000 hits a month, naturally. And then in August 2017, it dropped down to 1,000 hits a month. I think Google changed their algorithm pretty heavily around August/Sept last year. My articles that were getting a lot of attention don't even rank anymore. After August/Sept of last year, my blog dropped to around 600 views a month. From 5,000 to 600 is a huge drop off for only a couple months. So anyway --
I've totally revamped the blog. I've started posting more articles weekly. I've revisited all my top content and updated the articles and modified keywords. I've changed over to HTTPS and installed an SSL certificate. I've updated and revamped all my info on google search console. Made a new robots.txt and sitemap. Submitted them both to google. I've got analytics working. In other words, I think I've done a hell of a lot to revive the website. The question is, how long should I wait to expect to start getting ranked again? I still plan on posting new articles every week, but will my old articles ever resurface in google searches? Are those once dead pages ever going to rank again after updating them and doing some heavy SEO work?
No solicitations for services. Not giving out website address. Just looking for some info. Thanks.
