Morning chaps,

Quick question / pointer in the right direction.

My father has created a piece of windows based software that has been selling on ebay with great success. He asked me to create a website as he disagrees with some of eBay's terms and generally wants more control over distribution of his software. I obliged and headed straight for wordpress.

Software usage:

He wants one paid user to be able to use his software, locked to one PC, as many times as they like. If the same user moves the software to another PC, it will not work. They will require a different version of the program that can be used on multiple PC's, for extra cost. All this is working great, no problems at all.

A bit of background as to how the software handles licensing:

The software, after installation, generates a code based on some black magic that I dont quite understand. This code is then manually sent back to my dad and he can generate an 'unlock' code for them. This works but seems a bit labour intensive to me. Im sure there is a better way to handle this.

So my question is: Have any of you guys had experience with selling digital downloads that need to be licenced to only one pc through wordpress? Or have any of you got a simpler way that this could be managed?

TL;DR Have software that needs to be restricted to one pc per download. Have wordpress site, stuck as fuck.
