The old saying "your network is your net worth" couldn't be truer. I am kicking myself in the butt for not spending more time cultivating solid relationships with people that are where I want to be.
Within the past 3 months, I've begun to get deliberate with my networking but this is something I should have started years ago. Unfortunately, I had no desires to be an entrepreneur until I took my solo trip to Africa last year. That sparked it all.
So, takeaway number one after being live 20 hours.
Cultivate your network with people who are where you want to be in life, and start now. Not only will they be someone you can go to for advice and direction, but for a situation like mine when I need some help spreading the word, they can help connect with other people who are willing to do a favor.
