Does Your Business Have a Disaster Recovery Plan? Have You Ever Had to Use It? entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

Many businesses keep back-ups of their files in case of emergency. Only larger businesses really need to keep real-time, back-ups that they can switch over to in case of disaster, ransomware, loss of systems, etc.

Has anyone here ever had to resort to their backups after losing data or access to their business files? How did it go for you?

I've seen situations where an aggressive form of ransomware took over a client's systems and then even worked its way into the replicated backups so we had to go several versions back to before the infection.

As mentioned in the article, 4 Dangerous Myths about DR Planning, "When it comes to Cloud benefits in disaster recovery, you have the benefit of the Cloud being virtually impervious to natural disasters." Do you store most of your files in "The Cloud", thus not needing as much DR prep?

Anyways open discussion! Is DR a part of your business?
