Different variations vs separate listings for GB changes? earn by blogging adsense income

If i were selling a phone with choices of 32GB or 64GB, would it be beneficial to have separate listings or one listing with a variation dropdown? I believe the variation dropdown would be cleaner but i frequently see many big eCommerce websites creating multiple listings. The description/body is exactly the same though. The only difference is the GB. Wouldn't that cause duplicate seo consequences?
