What is your proposal process? earn by blogging adsense income

Been studying SEO for a while now and I feel like I'm ready to start prospecting clients but I don't know what a proposal is like front to back.

Near as I can figure:

1.) Prospect leads in X industy 2.) Reach out with 'pre-conversation' email 3.) After confirmation of read email, follow up with phone/Skype conversation where I roll out site and competitive analysis, action steps and then finally pricing options 4a.) If client agrees, send over contract 4b.) If client disagrees, negotiate by offering bespoke and/or a la cart services. If client still refuses, politely close out the call.

Do you do anything different? What's worked best for you and your prospecting?
