I've been toying with the idea of starting a drop shipping business for a while now- but the number of products and the size of the market is overwhelming. I have very little knowledge and capital, and to top it all, I live in a pretty remote country with lackluster mailing services, which will make dealing with returns impossible. My idea was to dropship into my own country alone. With a population of 7M and a target audience of 100K at best, I don't see it taking off very much. However, some points in favor of the idea: Very little marketing costs- social media is incredibly popular and I personally know a few local influencers Nearly all of my target audience is using Instagram, so I can focus on a single platform.
Dealing with returns will be a lot easier Since this is a very small country, reaching the target audience will be very easy. Also, the majority of the population does not speak English so I have very little competition. Minimal capital required. All input appreciated.
