Service based brick & mortar businesses, how do you market? (+ My Experience) entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

What's up,

I've been screen printing and selling t-shirts for about 5 years now. I run a print and embroidery shop out of my basement- doing custom work for schools and businesses as well as selling novelty tees online.

This has always been a sort of side hustle (1-2k a month) but is slowly starting to pick up. I'm now stuck in a place where I don't make enough money to justify hiring employees/renting a space/getting sales people, but I make enough money that I feel I need to start making a serious effort to build the company.

I've done Yelp ads, Facebok ads, Google ads... but none of these have great conversions. I joined the local chamber of commerce, but they don't have many networking events so I haven't had a chance to build a network through that. My SEO is alright and I get most my business through Google search and word of mouth.

I'm trying to figure out how to get me name out there. On a local level. I'm currently looking into being a sponsor at some local high school events and taking out ads in some high school newspapers near me to try to reach the clubs/sports teams in the schools.

I'm not sure how to best reach my potential customer base. What have you guys had luck with? Online or other. Radio ads? local newspaper ads? Lemme know.
