Hey /r/entrepreneur!
So I've finally decided to start my own business back home in order to work for myself and accomplish my dreams of becoming my own boss!
1) House Cleaning Service, residential (lots of seniors in city), commercial, move-in/outs, etc. 2) Looking to be my own boss, create my own business, there's only a handful of competitors in the community, and the competition's websites are outdated/not user-friendly (this will be my advantage of a fully equipped SaaS website). 3) Only been solidifying this idea a short term and plan to have it operational this mid-June/July. 4) Short-term plan is keeping a small team of two cleaners, unless demand picks up and will have to adjust accordingly. 1-year plan is to switch to focusing on business growth and transition from my current Full-time current job to part-time/minimal hours to focus on this business full swing.
Here's my question for BC Residents in Canada that may have the proper knowledge.
What is required in terms of Insurance/Bonding/Licensing for this company and my employees?
I recently applied through the BC Gov for a business name license (sole-proprietor) until the company grows to a larger state in which I may incorporate. I also applied for a business license within the municipality I plan on operating in. I have purchased the domain name of the company already (here's to hoping I get the business name I'm asking for).
This is the only real grey area that I'm a bit more unfamiliar with, so please feel free to provide recommendations or examples of what you would do if you were in my shoes.
