Feel intimidated by a big competitor, how should I proceed? entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

Hey guys,

My wife and I are passionate cooks and want to start a meal prep delivery business in our country.

We live in a fairly large city where most people are pretty well off, getting higher than usual wages compared to the rest of the country we live in. That said, our main target group are 9-5ers who don't find the time to prepare healthy and nutritious meals but are more than willing to pay for someone to do it for them.

The problem is - while meal prep is generally unknown in our country, there's already a big company doing almost exactly what we want to do and they're extremely successful with it. The main difference is that they're mainly targeting fitness folks.

Their meals are organic and they only use locally grown meat, plus they offer nationwide delivery via UPS. As far as I know, they even sell their meals wholesale to retail stores.

It would cost us a shit ton of capital that we don't have to be able to compete with them on the same level. So obviously, we're looking for other ways to differentiate our business from the competition.

Honestly, I feel a bit intimidated by our competition and feel a bit lost on how to proceed from now on.

What would you guys do in my situation? Any help is appreciated!
