You seen Ben Hur, my business idea was like that. Colchester, my town, has the only Roman remains of a chariot racing circus in the UK. My idea, recreate a facility, a new circus for chariot racing.
The most successful and rich sportman in history was a chariot racing driver. Chariot racing drivers and their horses had the fame of the best Hollywood actors; people built statues, mosaics and wall paintings of these guys with their names recorded for thousands of years.
Think of the best sport, chariot racing had a more fantical following than NFL or soccer. Four factions competed in chariot racing: greens, blues, reds and whites. Chariots were driven by two or four horses, it was a dangerous sport for both driver and horses.
I know from history that chariot racing would generate a huge market. There are many ways to leverage profit from chariot racing through sponsorship, television and merchandise.
The major cost would be the initial starting costs, building the facilities, then training and maintaining the chariot drivers and horses.
The fatal side of the business model would be health and safety: horses and their drivers would be injured and killed.
Thus another business idea from history bites the dust.
