Need helping figuring out how to protect myself for a pickup and ship service business. entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

I have a store that's local to me that is does not offer shipping to customers. I was thinking of setting up a service where you pay $25 for me to pick up item + flat shipping through USPS.

My concern is after I send the item dealing with scams and charge backs. Any thoughts on how I can protect myself if I did this?

What would be the best way for the customer to pay me for the item? There's no way they can pay for it and I pick it up, the store asks for ID and the CC. Plus if they use their CC's and my name that screams charge back.
