I used to make a tidy sum repairing laptops when I was a teenager, but the market for $25/hr hinge replacements has evaporated completely since 2006. I've been seeing a lot of folks selling off-lease Thinkpads and Latitudes on Craigslist for reasonable rates, and there's almost perpetually bulk lots of these machines for peanuts on eBay - perhaps it's time I jump into the ring?
