Sometimes Google ignores my meta description earn by blogging adsense income

This is not my targeted keyword, but this is exactly the problem I'm having:

When I search for "New Bedford Pizza"
The description shown on Google is "Tasty fresh pizzas from our New Bedford restaurant. Check prices and order your pizza online now! Free delivery for all orders."
That is my meta description and Google displays it.

When I search for "New Bedford Pizzas"
Google ignores my meta description and grabs text from my homepage. So the Google description is: "Established 1985, we make great pizzas in New Bedford using only the freshest ingredients."

Why is Google (sometimes) ignoring my meta description? I feel like my meta description is more likely to attract clicks and orders. Changing one letter in the search term causes Google to disregard my description, what's up with that?
