Does it hurt my SEO to 301 redirect to an external domain website? earn by blogging adsense income

For example if I'm going to create another website for one of my particular products, which I can be more focus in that product in that website, but I used to sell all those products from a same website.

Is it going to hurt my main site SEO if I redirect to external domain website? Example:

www.siteA.com/productx >>>> 301 Redirect >>>> www.siteB.com/productx
