When guest posting, how many links do you add back to your own site? earn by blogging adsense income

You can invest a lot of time in guest posting (and money) and so sometimes 1 link doesn't seem like enough, especially if you're trying to rank for many keywords.

Do you have any experience with having a guest post with just one link versus say adding 2 or 3? Does it benefit you more with multiple links or does the value of link juice drop when you have multiple links?
