Landing page for Email/data collection entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

I've started getting everything set up for my next venture and I'm looking to collect email addresses through a sign up form. Our official launch won't be until April 1, 2018 (seasonal biz), but I'd like to set up a landing page in order to collect info up until launch day.

What the best way to do this? I was thinking of using WordPress with a simple form submission page. I'm vaguely familiar with SumoMe, but am unsure of where to start.
