Great SEO How-To Resources earn by blogging adsense income

Hello! I am soon to be graduate with a degree in MIS. I am currently focusing on becoming a front end web developer. I just came across this thread. I am looking for great resources to learn SEO some more. It seems most places when searched are more ads than resources.

I have some knowledge of seo, especially wordpress and using plugins like yoast. I would like to learn how SEO tactics for sites without plugins. ALSO: I am currently working on improving SEO in a godaddy site (client used goDaddy WSIWYG editor). I was wondering if theres a way to avoid their SEO tool and add things manually.
