Most clients have been getting in touch via text message since we put our phone number out there, so we are prioritizing it. A problem I'm running into is that 1 salesperson will interact with a customer via text messages on their own phone, and if they are unavailable for some reason but we need to speak with the customer because a project needs to get paid for, it's impossible for a 2nd one to get in touch with the customer or even understand what the conversation has been like.
We are not using a formal CRM right now, and these are not trained sales employees in a big company being accountable to anything... we're just hustling. Yes, it would be great if 1st salesperson would always relay the customer's contact info to the 2nd one, but I'd rather just avoid that requirement and have a central place so anyone of us can find the customer and see the details of the conversation.
Is there a SMS focused software or hopefully iOS/Android app that can handle 2 people having a sales conversation? I'm thinking something like Zendesk, but in an app and focused on sending the customer a text message, not email.
