I own a small ad agency and we mostly specialize in TV ads or graphic design. One of our larger customers just asked us to do some SEO along with graphics we're doing for their website. Very basic stuff and a very small market which which they already dominate, but there are a few search keywords relating to their business, where they don't come up as the highest ranking page.
So my questions are these:
1) If I started a blog on their website and they'd write a long blog about the keyword, will they get a higher ranking on Google -- and is that guaranteed to work? (The top sites do not have a lot of content regarding the keyword)
2) Is there anyway to see how much content or text you'd need to add regarding the keyword to get the top ranking?
3) If both these ideas are retarded, should I hire someone to consult me on the topic?
