Is it worth $150 for a guest blog advert? earn by blogging adsense income

Hello, I recently have started a website in a competitive niche. I have been building content everyday so that aspect is taken care of. I am now looking to build backlinks but the only ones I can find are paid ones. One of my competitors site offers a blog post on their front page for $150 (they write the article as well in the same niche).

Do you think this would be worth it for a new site trying to get ranked? Also this site is a very well known PR6 site with 50k+ plus backlinks.
