Hey guys, so I have 100k followers on Instagram, where I primarily post pictures relating to food. Lately, I've been doing the whole "post a picture or two with this product in exchange for free products" stuff.
Recently, I was approached by a company that stated they could reach out to me and help grow my followers, as well as set me up with companies to help me earn money instead of free stuff.
We spoke over the phone, and they spoke about plans to help grow followers, reaching out to brands, sending me to events, etc.
They sent me over an agreement (which is here ), and stated once I sign it, they'll set me up with a company email where brands will reach out to me.
This is the first time I've interacted with a company like this. Normally, I've just interacted with some companies directly through Instagram, and they send me product and I post about it. Since this is my first time interacting with a "company" like this, I don't know whether to trust my gut that something doesn't feel right, or just mark them down as me not knowing anything about this side of the Instagram business.
Are there common Instagram influencer scams that I should be aware about? I tried researching but I haven't been able to find anything concrete. Is what this company is doing normal, or are there red flags here?
