I need help understanding camouflage patents and am I OK? entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

Hello,

I am in the middle of creating a hunting apparel company, and I am wondering about camo patterns.

Am I allowed to create my own original pattern (trees, branches, leaves, etc...) or do these large companies have patents on the actual process of making the pattern?

I've heard both sides (I am OK and I can't) and my patent lawyer doesn't deal much with camo so he doesn't seem to sure. I'm in USA.
