Updated post, ranking dropped earn by blogging adsense income

I updated a 1500 word post with nearly 2000 additional words. This particular post was originally published 6 years ago.

The new content was, of course, original and contained helpful information on the topic.

Within a couple days I saw it climb from the #12 spot to #6, back to #12 and then it dropped to #22 and has been there for over 2 weeks now.

Google dance, I originally thought. Now after 2 weeks it's not showing any signs of budging.

Thoughts?
