First time Importing from China to US. Need some help understanding logistics entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

Hi,

Need some help and was wondering if someone can point me to right direction.

I am working with a Chinese manufacturer and have finalized a product. I asked them how they usually ship to US and the manufacturer said that they usually work with a local Chinese freight forwarder... this 3rd party company in China can take the goods and deliver to my local sea port...and once delivered...I will have to handle the products once landed.

Manufacturer is asking me which seaport I will receive in US so they can get me a quote / timelines...

How do I get this info? (seaport?)

Do I need to talk to Customs Brokers?

Any references / suggestions? I searched local brokers in my town (Tennessee) and there are few but I did not want to approach them prior to getting your feedback..
