Got an interesting one: Client's internal pages ranking well, but homepage is no longer in Google SERP. earn by blogging adsense income

...even searching for

[their brand name]

[their brand name] site

[their brand name] home page

[their brand name] website

etc.

Google no longer displays their index page in SERP. This is new. As of today. Strange.

Ever seen anything like it?

Nothing of note in Search Console. (checked all four SC accounts).

Perhaps of note: They recently did a 5k sub email blast (octopus/AWS) from a new domain, and they forwarded the www of that domain to their homepage. I found that they got on one email blacklist (spamcannibal) but they'd already stopped forwarding the www earlier today, anyhow.

I had them contact their AdWords rep, b/c the draw a lot of water there.

Thoughts? I've been doing SEO since before it had a name, and I haven't seen this before.
