Buying an established website: Any experience here? entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

I manage a small advertising network and there is an opportunity for us to buy one of the publishers we work with.

It's hugely niche with solid traffic, an established respected name and basically has been neglected for close to a decade by the parent company. As a consequence its trading at a deep discount.

Financing shouldn't be an issue, but the due dill to get access to the financing will need to be tight.

I've never bought a website before and would love to get some feedback from anybody here who has, on the things to watch for, ask, prepare for, rookie mistakes, transitional nuances etc.
