My wife wrote a children’s book (and potentially wants to write more) but we aren’t sure where to get started. We have the story on a Microsoft word document and water color paintings on canvas. I’m not sure what the best way to go getting it published is. She is interested in putting interactive things in the book (i.e. those plastic poppers, areas of fabric or different textures etc) but that is not an absolute requirement.
Does anybody have any experience publishing these books, how we would put everything together, how we would get those interactive pieces in the book? Is self publishing an option or do we have to go through another company?
Any advice from someone’s who’s been down this path before would be much appreciated, thank you!!!
