So I'm a small business owner of two separate companies. One is a company that does drop shipping and will soon do Fulfilment by Amazon. The other company is one that I have not put much time into but will do so in a few years and it's a IOS development company in which I'm the sole proprietor and only developer. I hope that in the next 2 years I am able to use these companies as my own main source of income and reduce the overhead as much as possible so that I could get a job. I will most likeley stop doing dropshipping once I start doing FBA, and I will possibly launch a IOS app soon after if all goes well. The thing is, although I am a business person at heart, I'm an engineer(ME) trying to work in the Aerospace industry. I know that I will soon have to suffocate one of the children(Businesses) and be forced to only run one so that I have as little overhead, but how good does being a CEO or entrepreneur look on a resame for a job title not in the field? I would really like to work at SpaceX, but I fear they may look at my businesses and think I would not be able to commit to them 100%. Any experience in this? Thanks.
