Google is showing results for a different company with a similar name, killing any traffic we might get from SEO... earn by blogging adsense income

Hey ya'll.

My company's name is similar to another company in the same industry.

When people are searching my company on Google, it shows them the other company. To actually search for my company you have to click "Search Instead For."

We have a decently high page-ranking authority from strong backlinks like NBC News, USA Today and about 20 other referrers, but it's not strong enough to show our company when people specifically search for it.

I'm really searching for ways to get around this and strengthen our SEO, has anyone else ran into this problem or know some tips on how to improve our situation?
