Hey all! I just finished up a pretty in-depth guide (about 8,000+ words) on everything I've learned from selling a couple of businesses over the last few years.
This guide is written from the aspect of selling an eCommerce business but almost all of it will be applicable to selling any kind of business online.
Even if you're not thinking about selling your business it still may still be useful. A lot of the things that you want to do to get a business ready for sale actually are good things to do on a day-to-day basis: running fairly leaning, keeping good books, etc.
Plus, a lot of people are surprised by how little smaller businesses actually sell for. It's much less than you might think, so if you're planning on an exit in distant future it's good to know what real-world valuation are.
